GST Registration

Generate GST Application Reference Number (ARN):
• After submitting the form, an Application Reference Number (ARN) will be generated. You will receive an email and SMS with the ARN.
Verification by GST Department:
• The GST authorities will process your application. They may request additional documents or clarification if required.
• In some cases, they may conduct a physical verification of the business premises.

GST Registration Certificate:

• After successful verification, you will receive the GST Registration Certificate along with your GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number).
• The certificate and GSTIN can be downloaded from the GST portal.
Documents Required for GST Registration:
1. PAN card of the business (or proprietor, if a sole proprietorship)
2. Aadhaar card (for individual or sole proprietorship)
3. Proof of business address (electricity bill, property tax receipt, rent agreement)
4. Bank account details (bank statement or passbook)
5. Photographs (passport-sized)
6. Partnership deed (if applicable)
7. Certificate of Incorporation (for companies)
8. GSTIN (if applicable, for businesses already registered in another state)

Important Notes:

• Eligibility: GST registration is mandatory for businesses whose turnover exceeds the threshold limit (₹40 lakhs for goods and ₹20 lakhs for services) in most cases.
• No Fee for Registration: GST registration is free of charge.
• Once Registered: The business will receive a GSTIN, which must be displayed on invoices and used for filing GST returns.
This online process is straightforward, and once completed, it enables businesses to collect and remit GST, avail input tax credit, and be compliant with GST laws in India.
